Socialization: We are located north east of Bird's Hill Park in a park like setting which is fully fenced. In total we own 30 beautifully landscaped acres and 4 acres are fenced in so all dogs are safe. We meet one day per week for about one hour. Please email or call for specific dates and times. Only mild mannered dogs that need to blow off some steam and love to run and play are allowed The goal is to improve your dog's social skills with other dogs under direct supervision. We don't allow food or toys but encourage dog-dog play and interaction. If you ever wanted your dogs to play and run with other dogs but were afraid to take them to an off-leash park, then this is perfect for you. People that have dogs with some behavioural issues can still come out, but it would be a private session on a different day until your dog improves. Then we can introduce some of my own dogs to start and take it from there. Dogs with "issues" still need to be socialized. It is never too late! Cost starts at 10 dollars. Cat sitting: Personalized in-home cat sitting means that we will do scheduled visits to your home to take care of your cats while you are away on holidays or at work. Our scheduled visits will be spread out evenly over the day. You may request one or two visits per day and the approximate time of each visit. At Winnipeg's Pets Furst we customize our services to your needs. We understand how important your animals are in your life. Our visits are no less than 30 minutes in duration and most of the time up to 45 minutes long. Please call us to hear about our list of detailed services we provide for you and your pets. Your cat will get fresh water, food, have the litter scooped and be cuddled, played with and even brushed. We will always take care of mail and plants, at no additional charge. Horse care and farm checks: If you own a property with horses we will come out and check on your horses and make sure everything is okay. We will also top up waters and feed if required. Sorry we don't clean stalls but only clean up smaller messes that may happen while you are away. Having owned horses for 15 years, I have been exposed to lots of different situations concerning horses and this helps me offer you the best service. Dog walking: We will walk up to 3 dogs for the same price as for just one. During our Dog walks the animals are leash walked for no less than 30 minutes in any weather unless it is extremly cold or hot. For our more energetic canines we offer a fast paced jog-walk and for the more mature, special needs animals we can slow things down accordingly. If you would like your dog to socialize with other dogs while you are busy at work, we can incorporate this by taking one of our own dogs with us on walks or meet up with other if they are nearby. They will be able to run off-leash safely in a back yard that is fenced in addition to being walked. Don't be surprised to come home to a tired but happy dog. A lot of our clients use our dog walking services around lunch time, during weekdays while busy at work. This will help keep your canine healthy and happy and gives you peace of mind. The minimum booking for our dog walking services is once per week. Even if you don't have pets, we can help keep your house safe, while you are away on holidays. We come to your home and do a thorough security check to make sure everything is as it should be.       Dog behaviour consultation in your home: Some canine behaviour issues: Does your dog chew on your furniture and shoes? Does your dog show signs of seperation anxiety? Does your dog jump up on people and bark when visitors come to the door? Does your dog come when called? Does your dog show aggression toward other dogs or people? Ask yourself: Do you give your dog what he needs (besides food, water and shelter)? Do you use the back yard for your dog's exercise only? Do you allow your dog to be the pack leader? Do you provide training for your dog? Do you discipline your dog? Are you consistent? Were you really ready for all this work and commitment when you saw the cute puppy and took it home? With 100% commitment from you, your dog can be well behaved and your bond will be strong. We firmly believe that any dog, with any issue, can be rehabilitated or re-trained.

Consultations: Before we can accept any bookings for pet services we schedule a meeting with you and your pets. This service benefits you in many ways. Please note that we do charge a small fee for this service  (see "rates" )which will be refunded with your booking. During our meeting we will discuss your pets' needs, your needs and preferences and any concerns you may have while you are away on holidays. We take the time to listen and make sure not to rush your decision. If you are new to pet sitting it is a big step to trust a new person to enter your home. We ask that you have two copies of your house key ready for us at this time. One is for everyday pet sitting needs and the extra key is kept for back up purposes in case one of our sitters gets sick or cannot make it for any reason. This is for your benefit and will ensure that your pets are well taken care of. After the pet sitting assignment is over you may opt to leave your keys with us. This makes booking services easy in the future without having to schedule a key pick up. A simple phone call is all that's needed for your booking.  When not in use, we keep your keys locked in a safe and attach a special code to each key so that no misuse will occur. If you wish we can provide information and references before our meeting to give you a better idea about who we are and what quality of service we offer. Any of your personal information that you provide will be kept confidential and safe from misuse. Airport shuttle: Shipping an animal anywhere on the globe? We have experience with Airport Cargo and animal shipping. Lots of our clients live in the northern communities (Chruchill, Rankin Inlet etc..). Sometimes there are no veterinarians available or there is a specialist vet needed for an animal. IN this case they can safely fly their cats or dogs to Winnipeg and rest assured that it will be picked up on time and transported to the vet hospital as quickly as possible.
